Advancing and Improving the Construction of Tactile Pavement to Reflect Urban Warmth

Road blind brick construction adheres to the people-oriented thinking, initiating the construction of pedestrian blind paths and barrier-free channels to solve the most needed and concerned problems of the masses and let disabled people, the elderly, and other groups feel the warmth of the city.

All municipal roads have undergone comprehensive inspections. Projects without blind paths are strictly carried out according to the standards of municipal engineering during the construction process. The materials used must pass quality inspection before being put into use. During the process of laying blind paths, three-sided slopes are simultaneously reconstructed to facilitate blind friends, as well as elderly friends, pregnant women, and children going up and down. If the slope does not meet the construction requirements, rework will be done. During the process of laying tactile indicator strips, blind spots are set at corners and interfaces by the construction side, fully reflecting the concept of user-friendly design. At the same time, the damaged bricks on the sidewalk are also replaced to improve the level of urban construction.

Tactile floor tiles are facilities installed to provide convenience for blind people to walk

Tactile floor tiles consist of three types of bricks. One type is the strip-shaped directional leading brick, guiding blind people to walk with ease, known as directional blind path bricks. Another type is the prompt brick with round dots, indicating obstacles ahead and indicating a turning point, known as prompt blind path bricks or positional blind path bricks. The last type is the blind path danger warning brick, with larger round dots, serving as a warning not to overtake because there is danger ahead.

Uses of tactile floor tiles

Blind path tiles are produced according to the dimensions specified in the national industry standards. They are excellently designed and have sensitive touch, strong corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and long service life. The surface of high-strength rubber blind path tiles is not only beautiful but also smooth, suitable for indoor or outdoor decoration. The concave and convex model not only enhances the safety of the blind path but also beautifies the environment.

In urban areas, tactile floor tiles still need to be separately laid at the locations and entrances of major municipal facilities and buildings to inform visually impaired individuals of the specific locations of facilities. The ceramic tile adhesive can make the blind path tiles adhere better to the road surface, helping visually impaired individuals understand the surrounding environment. This includes various pedestrian crossings, entrances to city squares, bus stops, pedestrian overpasses, entrances and exits of pedestrian subways, building entrances, entrances and platform edges of underground railways, and obstacles on sidewalks, etc. A well-organized environment and facilities allow visually impaired individuals to move conveniently under the guidance of a white cane. For example, curbstones, flower beds, and walls set on the outer side of sidewalks are the best passageways for visually impaired individuals.

In today's rapidly developing society, people have high requirements for various types of blind path brick products and their performance. Environmental pollution, products produced with acidic, alkaline, corrosive raw materials, and places such as sewage treatment plants, towers, tanks, etc. have extremely strict requirements for tiles. As a result, acid-resistant and corrosion-resistant bricks naturally have their own applications and are highly popular.
